The Opportunity
Our team will be kicking off off a multi-year technology transformation and needs an experienced Solutions Architect
to help turn vision into a clear, practical technology blueprint and roadmap that can support 16+ programmes over the next few years.
This is a hands-on contract role where you’ll roll up your sleeves to document the artefacts, create architectural guardrails, and enable delivery teams to move fast without losing control.
What you’ll do
- Create an end-to-end view of the technology estate (current, interim and target states).
- Produce a transition architecture covering systems, integrations, data flows, domains and business capabilities.
- Shape a 12–24 month roadmap aligned to outcomes (e.g., faster recovery-to-work outcomes, reduced risk), with clear technical dependencies and sequencing.
- Provide solution architecture leadership across major initiatives that include:
- Contact centre / CCaaS (e.g., Genesys)
- CRM
- Policy/claims platforms
- Integration & data platforms (APIs, ESB, event-driven approaches)
- Partner with the Design Assurance Lead to embed architecture into assurance checkpoints and decision records (ADRs).
- Communicate complex architecture in plain English to executives and delivery teams.
What we’re looking for
- 8+ years in Solution / Enterprise Architecture roles, ideally within insurance or broader financial services.
- Proven experience delivering multi-year transformation roadmaps and transition architectures across multiple systems and integration patterns.
- Strong documentation capability - can produce practical artefacts that teams actually use.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of:
- Contact centre / CCaaS platforms (Genesys, Amazon Connect, etc.)
- Core policy/claims or admin platforms
- Integration & data platforms (API-led, ESB, events)
- Experience in regulated or government-adjacent environments is a plus.
- Tertiary qualification in IT/CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
