Davidson is partnering with Iberdrola to support the development of VNI West - a nationally significant transmission link enabling greater renewable energy generation, stronger grid stability and long-term energy security.
To support environmental approvals for the project, Iberdrola is seeking an EES, Environment & Planning Manager to lead key components of the Environment Effects Statement and associated secondary approvals.
About the role
Reporting to the ESS, Environment & Planning Support, you will contribute to the development of the Environmental Management Framework, coordinate primary and secondary approvals and prepare documentation under multiple Victorian legislative instruments.
This role is ideal for someone experienced in environmental impact assessment, statutory planning and major infrastructure approvals.
Your responsibilities
- Prepare key components of the Environmental Management Framework for the EES
- Prepare documentation to obtain secondary approvals, permits and licences
- Coordinate approval requirements under acts including:
– Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988
– Heritage Act 2017
– Water Act 1989
– Wildlife Act 1975
– Road Management Act 2004 - Liaise with the project’s Principal to ensure smooth integration of primary and secondary environmental and planning approvals
- Coordinate environmental considerations across a major linear infrastructure project
About you
Essential
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in planning, environmental science or environmental planning
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in EIA, statutory planning and/or development approvals
- Demonstrated experience preparing EES frameworks, environmental management documentation and approval pathways
- Deep understanding of Victorian planning, environmental and heritage legislation
Highly regarded
- Experience with linear infrastructure (transmission, pipelines, transport)
- Experience obtaining Victorian permits/approvals
