You will join a critical program focused on improving billing accuracy, compliance and customer outcomes through better data governance and quality practices.
About the Role
You will support a Billing System Project built on Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing, with a strong focus on data governance, data quality and documentation. Working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, you will help ensure billing data is accurate, compliant and fit for purpose.
A key part of the role involves identifying and resolving data quality issues across the organisation. You will conduct root cause analysis, work with different business areas to develop remediation plans, and support the rollout of guidance, training and metrics to improve ongoing data quality and monitoring. This role sits at the centre of a significant system uplift and plays a hands on part in strengthening billing outcomes and organisational data maturity.
About You
- 2+ years’ experience in data governance, data management or data quality roles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non technical audiences
- Hands on SQL experience, including working with Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing
- Experience conducting root cause analysis for data quality issues across multiple business areas
- Proven ability to develop and implement data remediation plans, including guidance, training and process improvements
- Experience defining data quality metrics and supporting ongoing monitoring and reporting
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, data lifecycle management and regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance standards
- Understanding of data architecture and data modelling concepts
- Experience supporting change initiatives and uplifting data literacy across teams
- Certification such as DCAM or CDMP is desirable
- Experience in the water or broader utilities sector is advantageous, but not essential
