ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a skilled Workday Time Tracking & Absence Management Consultant to support and optimise Workday time and leave processes during a critical transition period, on a 3-month contract with high extension potential, and Hybrid work model. This role will focus on ensuring accurate time capture, leave administration, payroll integration, and compliance, while supporting ongoing operational needs and enhancements.
You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Operations, and IT teams to maintain stable, compliant, and user-friendly time and absence processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day functional support across Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management.
  • Configure and maintain time entry templates, work rules, calculations, approvals, and security.
  • Configure absence plans, accruals, eligibility rules, carryover, and balance caps.
  • Troubleshoot issues, manage retro calculations, and support payroll cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, awards, enterprise agreements, and internal policies.
  • Optimise self-service and reduce manual intervention.
  • Support integrations with payroll systems, time clocks, and rostering tools.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards for worked hours, leave balances, overtime, and exceptions.
  • Participate in Workday release updates, testing, and feature adoption.
  • Deliver documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to HR and payroll users.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–7+ years hands-on Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management experience.
  • Strong understanding of time rules, accrual logic, and payroll dependencies.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, and security.
  • Ability to translate policy and award requirements into scalable Workday configuration.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
