About the Role:
We are supporting a leading global consulting partner in their search for an experienced Workday Finance Consultant
to design, implement and optimise Workday solutions across Financial Management, Procurement and Sourcing. This role plays a key part in delivering secure, scalable, and integrated Workday solutions aligned with enterprise business strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and drive continuous improvement across Workday Finance environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design
- Define and maintain the overall Workday solution architecture for Finance, Procurement and Sourcing.
- Design end-to-end solutions across GL, AP, Procurement, Expenses, Sourcing and foundational Fin-first HCM setups.
Implementation & Configuration
- Lead Workday implementations, upgrades and enhancements across Finance, Procurement and Sourcing.
- Configure business processes, security roles and reporting artefacts.
Integration Management
- Design and manage integrations between Workday and external systems (ERP, banking, payroll, benefits platforms, etc.).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy and compliance across all data flows.
Governance & Compliance
- Establish governance frameworks for Finance, Procurement and Sourcing modules.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and audit requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Finance, HR, IT and external vendors to deliver business-aligned solutions.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Workday analysts and administrators.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements for improved efficiency.
- Stay up to date on Workday releases and new functionalities relevant to Finance and Procurement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance or related discipline.
- 8+ years experience in Workday solution architecture with strong expertise in Workday Financials.
- Proven experience delivering Workday implementations, upgrades and complex integrations.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Workday Financials (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Expenses, Sourcing)
- Integration tools: EIB, Core Connectors, Studio
- Workday security, reporting and business process configuration
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Financials certifications.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise implementations.
- Understanding of financial and HR best practices and compliance frameworks.
