Our client is a leading organisation within the education sector, currently delivering a major enterprise transformation program focused on modernising its people and workforce technology platforms. As part of this initiative, they are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Configuration Specialist to join a collaborative project team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile Workday implementation.
About the Role
As the Workday HCM Configuration Specialist, you will be responsible for configuring and optimising Workday HCM to support key workforce management capabilities. Working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants and project teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, ensuring best practice configuration and a seamless user experience.
This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute across configuration, testing, troubleshooting and solution design while supporting a large-scale enterprise transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules in line with business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse and translate requirements into Workday solutions.
- Support workshops, solution design and configuration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform system configuration, testing and defect resolution.
- Produce and maintain configuration documentation and technical artefacts.
- Work closely with project, testing and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide ongoing configuration support and continuous improvement recommendations.
About You
- Proven experience configuring Workday HCM within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Workday configuration and best practice principles.
- Experience delivering or supporting Workday implementation or transformation projects.
- The ability to translate business requirements into effective system configurations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience supporting system testing, issue resolution and deployment activities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional project teams.
Experience within the education sector will be highly regarded, although candidates from other large enterprise environments are encouraged to apply
