About the Company

We are seeking an experienced WHSE professional to lead the development and implementation of health, safety, and environment requirements across major energy and infrastructure projects. This role will ensure safe systems of work are in place throughout all project phases, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a strong safety culture.

About the Role

As Senior WHSE Advisor, you will provide specialist guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders. You will oversee risk identification, audits, incident investigations, and training, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental objectives are met. A key part of this role is driving continuous improvement and embedding a proactive safety-first culture across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist WHSE advice and leadership to project teams and contractors
  • Developing and implementing WHSE plans, systems, and initiatives
  • Managing risk identification, mitigation strategies, and incident investigations
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and reporting to verify compliance
  • Leading stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment on WHSE requirements

About you:

  • 8+ years’ WHSE management experience in energy, infrastructure, construction, mining, or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of Australian HSE legislation, standards, and industry best practice
  • Proven ability to lead and influence contractors, managers, and stakeholders
  • Skilled in audits, investigations, and risk management in complex project environments
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
