About the Role
We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a WHSE Senior Advisor who will provide specialist advice and guidance with respect to all safety matters to the project, ensure that safe systems of work are put in place for all project personnel, and contribute to a leadership culture principled in safety, wellbeing, and environmental protection.
Responsibilities will include:
- Implement OH&SE project management systems
- Provide leadership and support to managers and supervisors in the implementation of the OH&SE plans and HSE initiatives
- Assist in the review of subcontractors HS&E systems prior to awarding of subcontracts
- Assist subcontractors in the development and implementation of safety plans, work method statement etc in accordance with Project requirements
- Ensure frequent evaluations and reviews of subcontractors’ compliance with the project HSE Plan, and their own HSE Plan 
- Provide leadership to project management team in the identification of OH&SE risk and appropriate risk mitigation actions
- Investigate all incidents, class 2 and above  
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project safety committee 
- Effectively manage employee welfare 
- Develop and implements training packages for the supervisors in OHS&E to ensure compliance with legislation and internal systems.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have 10+ years experience in managing safety in an operational or functional role on energy or other linear infrastructure projects. You will bring strong experience in system and process development for the delivery phase, along with significant contractor and community engagement experience. Your relevant tertiary qualification in OHS gives you a good grounding in the sector, and your successful project history and outcomes speak for themselves.
