About the Role

Play a pivotal role in shaping a safe, healthy and thriving workplace culture. Reporting to the Head of Workplace Relations and Wellbeing, you will lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s wellbeing and injury management strategy, supporting a commitment to a zero-harm workplace and positive employee experience.

In this leadership role, you will oversee employee wellbeing initiatives, psychosocial safety programs, return-to-work and support-at-work processes, workers’ compensation management, and complex injury case management. You will partner with leaders across the organisation to drive proactive wellbeing interventions, support recovery outcomes, ensure legislative compliance, and foster a culture where employees can perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of employee wellbeing and injury management strategies and programs.
  • Provide expert advice on wellbeing, psychosocial safety, injury management and return-to-work practices.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, rehabilitation programs and complex case management activities.
  • Develop, review and implement wellbeing policies, procedures and frameworks.
  • Analyse wellbeing and injury data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage external relationships with insurers, medical providers, EAP providers and regulators.
  • Coach and support leaders in wellbeing, injury management and psychological safety practices.
  • Lead and develop the Wellbeing & Injury Management team.

Essential Requirements

  • Victorian WorkSafe approved Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • Extensive experience in workers’ compensation, injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and claims management practices.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and balance employee wellbeing with organisational outcomes.

Desirable

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience in wellbeing, mental health or psychosocial safety programs.
