Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure an experienced Web Developer to support the team on an initial 5-month contract with possible extensions.


About the Role

As an experienced Web Developer responsible for leading the design, development, and ongoing management of the National Level Crossing Safety Strategy website on the GovCMS SaaS platform (.gov.au). You’ll ensure the website meets Australian Government standards for security, accessibility, and performance while serving as a central hub for strategy information, stakeholder engagement, and public communication. You will collaborate closely with the NLCS Program Management Office and key stakeholders to deliver a user-friendly, accessible, and secure website, while maintaining content, functionality, and technical compliance throughout the lifecycle of the platform.


About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a skilled Web Developer with expertise in building, configuring, and maintaining government websites using Drupal and the GovCMS platform, ensuring full compliance with Australian Government digital standards for accessibility, performance, and security. You’ll be experienced in managing and publishing content aligned with the NLCS strategy, maintaining high standards of usability and accessibility, and coordinating with stakeholders to gather, refine, and validate content as well as strong communication skills to work closely with the NLCS Program Manager to align technical delivery with strategic priorities. Liaising with GovCMS for platform support and training, you’ll be high skilled in collaborating with stakeholders as needed to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and compliance.


The Benefits

You will be offered a 5-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent daily rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
