The Opportunity

Our client is embarking on a major UKG implementation program that will impact more than 20,000 employees across a complex HR, payroll, and workforce ecosystem. This is a rare opportunity to lead testing for a high-profile transformation spanning Workday, UKG, and Dayforce, working closely with a skilled team and shaping quality outcomes across integration and end-to-end phases. Joining at an early and critical stage, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a foundational enterprise platform.

Must be able to attend the Melbourne office 2 days per week. Unfortunately sponsorship is not available for this position. December start preferred, January start also considered.


The Role
As a UKG Test Lead / Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all testing activities across the UKG implementation program, ensuring quality, readiness, and stability across interconnected systems.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Leading system, integration, and end-to-end testing across Workday, UKG, and Dayforce.
  • Managing a test team of four, providing direction, prioritisation, and daily oversight.
  • Coordinating testing across upstream (Workday) and downstream (Dayforce) processes, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Developing test strategies, plans, scenarios, and quality standards for multiple phases of delivery.
  • Engaging with technical and business stakeholders to validate system functionality, integrations, and defects.
  • Supporting early system testing and progressing into full end-to-end validation as the program evolves.


About You
In order to be a successful applicant you will bring proven experience leading testing within large-scale HRIS transformations, ideally with exposure to UKG or similar enterprise workforce platforms.

You will also have:

  • Strong integration testing experience across multiple HR and payroll systems.
  • Prior leadership of test teams within complex, high-volume environments (20k+ employees advantageous).
  • Hands-on capability with system testing, functional testing, and end-to-end validation.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to influence, resolve issues, and guide delivery outcomes.
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach to test planning, documentation, and quality assurance.
