Mercy Health Foundation is entering an exciting new chapter of transformation guided by its 2024–2027 Strategic Plan, with a strong focus on nurturing long-term donor relationships, enabling priority projects, and building broader community awareness of its impact. Guided by the values of compassion, hospitality, respect, innovation, stewardship and teamwork, the Foundation partners with generous donors to fund pioneering initiatives across its hospitals, aged care and community services. From advancing maternal and perinatal research to improving dementia care and creating therapeutic environments for older Australians, the Foundation plays a critical role in enabling Mercy Health to deliver the best possible care at every age and stage of life.

Reporting to the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, this role will lead and expand the Foundation’s engagement with philanthropic trusts and foundations. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will oversee a portfolio of grant-making bodies, cultivate enduring relationships with clinicians, and prepare compelling funding applications to enable transformational programs across Mercy Health. You will bring your experience and skills writing and acquitting grants and developing compelling cases for support. A track record of working with trusts and foundations will be essential as is experience working within either the health, aged care, for purpose, education or medical research sectors. You will be capable of working independently to build and sustain a robust portfolio over time, while contributing positively to the culture and success of the Foundation team.

You will be joining an environment led by a CEO who is deeply committed to enabling their team to achieve success for themselves and the Foundation as a whole. You will be supported with training, coaching and valuable connections, while being encouraged to think creatively, take informed risks and pursue continuous improvement. This leadership approach balances positivity, humour and perspective with a strong preference for action and open communication. Professional development opportunities, flexible hybrid working arrangements and salary packaging benefits will further support your success, while the impact of your work will be felt through enabling better care and life-changing research.
