About the Role
As the Transformation Communications Consultant
you will lead internal communications and engagement activities for a major transformation program within a leading water utility organisation.
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring change communications are strategically aligned, consistent, and effective in driving awareness, understanding, and adoption across impacted business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with program managers, change leads, and other stakeholders to scope change impacts and support successful implementation.
- Design and execute integrated internal communications and engagement strategies that align with overarching change and transformation plans.
- Identify communication-related risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Create and deliver clear, tailored content across a variety of channels, including SharePoint, Yammer, email, and video.
- Drive awareness and engagement by communicating updates, milestones, achievements, and the benefits of new ways of working.
- Provide strategic communication advice to project teams and senior leaders, supporting message clarity and consistency.
- Develop toolkits, briefing packs, and messaging for executives and senior leaders to cascade within their teams.
- Collaborate with external communications to ensure alignment across internal and public-facing communications.
- Support change initiatives by applying the organisation’s change management framework and delivering within agreed timelines.
- Engage SMEs and stakeholders to gauge readiness, manage resistance, and support successful adoption.
- Maintain a library of communication artefacts such as FAQs and contribute to program reporting and status updates
About You
- Demonstrated experience in internal communications and engagement within change and transformation programs. (preferably within the utilities industry)
- Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including executives.
- Comfortable working in complex, fast-paced environments with high levels of ambiguity.
- Skilled in navigating change risks and effectively communicating through uncertainty.
