Training Lead – Workday Implementation - Major Transformation

Are you an experienced Workday Training Lead who thrives in transformation?

My client is a major Queensland utility is delivering a large-scale Workday HCM implementation and is seeking an experienced Training Lead to design and execute the end-to-end learning and enablement strategy for this critical program.

This is a high-impact role supporting a diverse workforce across field, operational and corporate environments.

About the Role
Reporting to the Experience & Adoption Lead, you will be responsible for shaping how 900+ employees adopt new systems, processes and ways of working. You will start as the stand-alone training specialist before stepping into leadership of a team of four trainers from March 2026.

You will:

  • Design the full Learning & Enablement Strategy for Workday
  • Develop blended learning solutions (eLearning, job aids, simulations, playbooks)
  • Build and manage the training schedule across testing, go-live and hypercare
  • Develop behaviour-shift learning for leaders (self-service & accountability)
  • Tailor training to highly diverse audience groups (field crews, contact centre, office, leaders)
  • Partner with SMEs, Change Analysts, Change Influencers and implementation partners
  • Drive readiness for a major big-bang Workday go-live in November 2026

This role is central to building confidence, capability and adoption across the organisation.

About You
You will bring:

  • Workday HCM training experience (non-negotiable)
  • Experience designing learning for complex, multi-site organisations
  • Strong capability in blended learning design and delivery
  • Experience leading or coordinating trainers
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into practical, user-friendly learning
  • Calm, pragmatic and collaborative style
  • Strong planning, scheduling and attention to detail
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites

You’ll be someone who builds trust quickly, enjoys navigating complexity and is confident engaging with diverse workforce groups.
