The Opportunity
This is a rare part-time opportunity working 3 days per week for an experienced telecommunications professional to step into a strategic, high-impact role within a complex environment. You’ll lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of telecommunications and network infrastructure, while helping shape future-ready connectivity across major initiatives and new developments. This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing strategy, stakeholder engagement, commercial thinking, and hands-on infrastructure leadership, and who wants the flexibility of a 3-day-per-week part-time position without losing scope or influence.
About the Role
In this role, you will take ownership of key telecommunications and network initiatives across the organisation.
- Lead telecommunications and network infrastructure strategy
- Drive network consolidation projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost
- Build strong partnerships with telecommunications providers and industry stakeholders
- Support communications infrastructure integration into new developments
- Identify and deliver commercial opportunities from existing communications assets
- Help shape future-ready services across CCTV, smart city, and traffic systems
About You
To succeed, you’ll bring deep telecommunications expertise, strong commercial judgement, and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong experience in telecommunications, network planning, delivery, and maintenance
- Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure or network projects
- Ability to build partnerships across industry, government, and internal stakeholders
- Commercially minded, with experience identifying revenue or cost-saving opportunities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and project management capability
- Relevant degree or equivalent practical experienc
