The Opportunity
This is a high-impact contract role to build governance ready investment cases and costed technical designs for uplift planning across Protected and regulated systems, supporting commissioning readiness and technical stage gate reviews, while working remotely across Australia (QLD, VIC, NSW, ACT).
About the Role
You will provide technical coherence across multiple workstreams, ensuring solution options are consistent with enterprise patterns, integration boundaries, and reliability/maintainability expectations.
- Lead technical coherence across uplift workstreams, driving consistent solution design
- Produce current-state summaries and target option designs (high-level) per workstream
- Provide costed design inputs: BoMs, labour estimates, sequencing, and technical risks
- Prepare architecture governance submissions, mapping compliance to principles and reference architecture
- Develop Technical Management Framework (TMF) artefacts to support stage gate readiness
- Coordinate platform engineers and integration SMEs on coherent interfaces and designs
About You
You are a strong technical leader who can turn architectural constraints into deliverable designs, estimates, and governance-ready artefacts.
- NV1 clearance is mandatory
- Proven solution architecture leadership across integration, infrastructure, and security zones
- Experience delivering in regulated or Protected environments, including evidence expectations
- Strong grasp of integration boundaries, reliability, and maintainability for commissioning readiness
- Comfortable coordinating engineers and SMEs to land a single coherent technical direction
- Able to identify change request candidates and articulate clear technical rationale
