Davidson is partnering with a leading banking organisation to secure a Technical Change & Implementation Consultant to support critical technology delivery, including a significant data centre migration. This is a high-visibility role within a mature change environment where governance, risk management and delivery discipline genuinely matter.
About the Role
The Technical Change & Implementation Consultant will own end-to-end technology change control and implementation coordination, ensuring changes are planned, approved, executed and reviewed to a high standard - with a key focus on data centre migration activities and associated infrastructure change.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing ITIL-aligned change control through ServiceNow (change records, risk/impact, approvals, evidence).

Producing and maintaining implementation plans/run-sheets, cutover steps, back-out plans and support models.

Coordinating delivery across matrix technical teams (e.g., data centre operations, infrastructure, cloud, network, Wintel/Linux, storage).

Supporting migration governance including CAB readiness, stakeholder sign-offs, and change window planning.

Managing dependencies, release windows, schedule conflicts and technical “collisions” across migration and BAU.

Driving Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs), lessons learned and continuous improvement.

Providing clear status reporting, escalation, and risk management throughout the change lifecycle
About You
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical change experience with a governance-first mindset, ideally with exposure to large-scale infrastructure or migration programs.
Required:

Proven experience in technology change control (ITIL) within enterprise environments.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Change Management (or equivalent tooling).

Strong capability in building run-sheets/cutover plans, managing approvals and coordinating implementation activity.

Confidence working across multiple teams and stakeholders, balancing delivery pace with risk controls.

Excellent written documentation and communication skills (clear, structured, audit-friendly).

Experience supporting data centre migration programs (or large infrastructure refresh / relocation / consolidation).

Exposure to release management, cutover coordination, or major program delivery.

Broad infrastructure exposure (network/Wintel/Linux/storage/cloud) in complex environments.

Experience working in banking or financial services
