to join a high-performing team shaping the future of enterprise technology platforms.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role suited to someone who enjoys solving deep technical problems while providing architectural oversight for concurrent projects. You’ll play a key role in developing current, future and transitional states for core platforms and ensuring alignment to enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development of architecture artefacts for large-scale IT projects across infrastructure and application domains.
- Providing guidance to delivery teams and vendors, ensuring alignment to architectural standards and roadmaps.
- Managing architectural input into technical governance forums and reviewing proposals for feasibility and impact.
- Supporting the transition to cloud-native platforms and advising on hybrid infrastructure challenges.
- Overseeing the technical delivery of solutions to meet both operational and strategic goals.
- Analysing technical debt and contributing to its management through pragmatic long-term planning.
- Supporting infrastructure optimisation, security posture uplift, and data centre transitions where required.
Skills and experience required
- 8+ years' experience as a Technical Architect, Infrastructure Architect or Solutions Architect.
- A strong understanding of enterprise architecture disciplines and tools, ideally with exposure to TOGAF or similar frameworks.
- Proven experience designing technical solutions across infrastructure stacks including:
- Hypervisors (e.g. VMware)
- Compute and storage architecture (e.g. SANs)
- Networking (Cisco desirable)
- Azure cloud technologies – storage, networking, compute
- Container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker) – nice to have
- Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technology design.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting the architectural governance process, including presenting to review boards and contributing to the definition of standards.
Desirable qualifications & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
- Certifications in Azure, Microsoft or Citrix (desirable).
- Enterprise architecture training (TOGAF or equivalent) is a bonus.
- Background in data centre transformation, security-aware design, or infrastructure as code is highly valued.
