Reporting to the Manager Operations and Waste, the Operations Coordinator will provide strong strategic and operational leadership to improve efficiency and embed consistent processes across infrastructure operations. You will lead and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality practices across asset maintenance, customer service, contract management, and compliance. You will play a key role in supporting system upgrades to ensure they enable effective service delivery and align with Darebin’s 2027 Strategy. Your leadership will promote operational excellence, foster collaboration, and build a culture of accountability and innovation. As a trusted advisor, you will help implement policies and strategies at an operational level, ensuring day-to-day activities reflect broader strategic goals. Your focus on efficiency and sustainability will support positive outcomes for both the organisation and the community.

To be successful in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in strategic operational leadership and business improvement. You will have a strong track record of driving change through process standardisation, system enhancements, and embedding best practice across diverse teams. Your expertise in translating strategic objectives into practical, operational outcomes will be key to your success. You bring excellent skills in analysing complex challenges and designing solutions that improve efficiency, service delivery, and customer experience. You are adept at managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to implement sustainable business improvements. Your ability to lead with influence, foster innovation, and maintain a clear focus on long-term strategic goals will set you apart. Experience working within Local Government or the public sector, with a solid understanding of compliance frameworks and asset management, is highly regarded. You thrive in dynamic environments where continuous improvement and strategic alignment are essential to delivering community outcomes.
