Reporting to Director Organisational Performance this dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of asset management for the Council, spearheading the creation and execution of a forward-thinking strategy that aligns with long-term goals. This position will lead the implementation of cutting-edge asset management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 55000, and driving transformation through data-driven decision-making. The Strategic Asset Lead will be developing a robust asset planning framework, enhancing asset management maturity, and delivering high-impact transformation projects like Technology One. With a focus on transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement, this role will foster a culture of excellence, collaborating with diverse teams to deliver smarter, more sustainable asset management solutions. With strong leadership, this Strategic Asset Lead will empower the organization to make informed, strategic investments, all while shaping a thriving, accountable, and future-focused asset management system that meets both community needs and Council objectives.
To be considered for this role, you will need proven experience in leading and implementing asset management systems and driving transformational changes. You should have extensive experience in civil infrastructure planning, designing Asset Management Strategies, and increasing asset management maturity. Key skills include developing asset lifecycle frameworks, collaborating with stakeholders, and advocating for sustainable, financially responsible asset management. Strong influential skills and communication abilities are essential to drive a shared vision and ensure strategic asset planning across the organization. A bachelor’s degree in strategic Asset Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required, with postgraduate qualifications a plus.
