The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled SQL/BI Developer to drive development, enhancement and maintenance of modern data warehouse and reporting solutions. You’ll play a vital role in shaping BI capability, delivering accurate insights, and ensuring data-driven decisions are empowered across the organisation.
The Role
You’ll collaborate closely with business users and technical teams to design, build and maintain robust BI solutions using the Microsoft stack. Your work will underpin strategic decision-making and support the department’s expanding BI initiatives.
- Design and develop data models using SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio
- Build and maintain data warehouse and ETL solutions using SSIS and SSAS (tabular and multidimensional)
- Ensure data quality, integrity and lineage through QA and testing practices
- Conduct performance analysis and optimise code for efficiency
- Use Azure DevOps for deployments and version control
- Maintain technical documentation and metadata repositories
- Collaborate in team planning, proactively managing risks and progress
About You
You’re an experienced BI Developer who thrives on turning business needs into effective data solutions. You bring both technical depth and collaborative spirit to your work.
- Proven experience in BI development using SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and Visual Studio
- Deep understanding of data warehouse architecture, data modelling, and ETL design
- Strong SQL, DAX, and MDX skills with a focus on optimisation and accuracy
- Skilled in testing, troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-driven, organised, and proactive in a team environment
- Must have full Australian working rights and be able to commit to 3 days per week in Brisbane office.
