They are looking for a Data Engineer who’s as comfortable writing SQL as they are collaborating with data scientists and analysts. This is the perfect opportunity for a BI Developer or Data Analyst ready to step into a bigger technical challenge and have their work directly power predictive insights, AI models and data-driven decisions.
Duties of the role
- Build and model complex SQL datasets and Views that translate business logic into clean, usable data models
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Python (bonus points if you’ve dabbled with APIs or Fabric)
- Collaborate closely with the Data Science team to engineer the datasets that drive AI and analytics projects
- Modernise existing BI assets into more scalable data engineering solutions
- Manage and improve Azure-based data infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security and performance
- Contribute to the design, logic and architecture of the data landscape, helping shape the future of the organisations analytics capability
Skills and experience required
- Around 3–5 years’ experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or SQL Developer
- A passion for data and continuous improvement
- Strong SQL skills, modelling, optimisation, complex queries, and views
- Hands-on ETL experience (Azure Data Factory or similar)
- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation or integration
- A collaborative, curious mindset and strong communication skills. Ability to have both technical and non technical data conversations
- A drive to learn, experiment and take ownership of your work
