Our Client:
A large Queensland Government department focused on delivering critical transport and infrastructure technology solutions.
The Role:
Drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose technology solutions. Align business needs with enterprise architecture standards while ensuring strong governance, performance, and value from ICT investments.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into scalable, end-to-end solution architectures across applications, integrations, and infrastructure
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
- Provide technical leadership, including design governance, reviews, and guidance to delivery teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders and act as the key liaison between business and technical teams
- Support implementation, including troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and knowledge transfer
- Maintain architecture documentation, contribute to governance forums, and ensure compliance with standards
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex environments
- Strong expertise in geospatial technologies, data, and location tracking
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency in integration technologies (APIs, microservices, ESB)
- Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience delivering solutions in large, diverse organisations
Highly Desirable:
- Public and private sector experience
- Enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices
- TOGAF and/or cloud certifications
- 8+ years in solution design and delivery
