The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the client’s AI and automation program as they expand their cutting-edge initiatives within the Microsoft 365 and Copilot ecosystem. Based in Sydney, you’ll play a key role in shaping intelligent solutions that blend automation, AI innovation, and platform engineering. The Role
As a Software Engineer (AI & Automation) you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining automation solutions within Microsoft 365 and AI-driven platforms.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing AI-powered automations and multi-agent frameworks leveraging Copilot and ChatGPT integrations.
  • Supporting system administration activities across Microsoft 365 environments to ensure secure and reliable deployments.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers across Sydney and offshore to develop scalable, high-performing systems.
  • Building, testing, and deploying AI agents and automation capabilities aligned with the client’s innovation roadmap.
  • Performing technical assessments to ensure system readiness, compliance, and platform resilience.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement through creativity, collaboration, and a solutions-focused mindset.


About You
In order to be a successful applicant you will bring hands-on experience in automation and AI-driven system development, ideally within large enterprise environments.

You will also have:

  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 and Copilot integration, including administration and deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing automation or AI-based tools, scripts, or agents.
  • A solid understanding of system administration, platform security, and performance optimisation.
  • A creative and proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across distributed teams.
  • Experience in agile or DevOps environments, with a focus on delivery and problem-solving.
