The Opportunity

Join a high-impact transformation project in the Banking & Finance space, focused on the modernisation of a major transaction and terminal switch. This is a pivotal role in ensuring resilient infrastructure and financial systems, where your monitoring and alerting expertise will directly contribute to the reliability and efficiency of mission-critical services. You’ll work with a diverse range of stakeholders, from operational support to development and business teams, in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.


The Role

Take ownership of observability across complex systems and ensure quality service delivery:

  • Build and refine multi-layered monitoring and alerting for infrastructure, applications and financial services.
  • Engage stakeholders across ops, dev and business teams to gather requirements and design tailored solutions.
  • Ensure production reliability and provide ongoing support for systems post-implementation.
  • Manage tooling such as Splunk, OpenSearch, Grafana and Prometheus in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Maintain compliance with Australian financial regulations and card scheme requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement, system tuning and incident response initiatives.

About You

You bring a passion for quality, resilience and collaboration in high-stakes environments:

  • Extensive experience with monitoring and alerting for critical systems, ideally in Financial Services.
  • Hands-on skills with Splunk, OpenSearch, Grafana, Prometheus and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Understanding of card scheme formats, compliance standards and Australian financial regulations (preferred).
  • Experience with GitHub, JSON, Avro; Cribl and AppDynamics are a bonus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Must have full, unlimited Australian working rights.
