JOB OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a Service Desk Engineer to join a collaborative support team providing technical assistance across software, hardware, and network environments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent customer service.
You will work as part of a 5–10 person technical support team, assisting users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining operational documentation, and ensuring service levels are consistently met.
This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT environments while working alongside experienced support professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 technical support for software, hardware, and networking issues
- Diagnose incidents and implement appropriate solutions or escalate when required
- Respond to service requests logged through customer or automated ticketing systems
- Maintain accurate case updates and documentation in accordance with SLA requirements
- Use remote access tools to support and troubleshoot user environments
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Assist in maintaining operational documentation and knowledge articles
- Ensure incidents are resolved or escalated within agreed service levels
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Windows / client operating system troubleshooting
- Remote support tools (Remote Desktop or similar)
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- File systems, permissions, and data movement utilities
- Backup and restore processes
- Security fundamentals including antivirus and endpoint protection

Working Arrangements
- Monday – Friday roster (variable shifts , can be discussed at interview/on offer )
