Senior Test Analyst – Phone System Upgrade
The Opportunity
Our client in the energy sector is seeking a highly capable Senior Test Analyst
to support a critical phone system upgrade project as part of a broader transformation program. This is an initial 6-month contract
with strong potential for extension, offering exposure to complex systems integration across enterprise platforms.
Please note: Sponsorship is not available
for this role, and 4-5 days per week onsite in Melbourne CBD
is required.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on testing of integrated telephony and enterprise systems within a multi-party vendor environment. You’ll work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes across system integration and service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, documenting, and executing functional and technical test cases for phone and network system upgrades
- Leading end-to-end integration testing across telephony interfaces
- Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to validate infrastructure, call routing, device connectivity, and system workflows
- Managing defects, triaging issues, and producing clear test reports
- Ensuring full traceability between business requirements, test coverage, and quality outcomes
- Working within a structured waterfall environment to meet key delivery milestones
About You
To be successful, you will bring deep testing experience within enterprise environments, ideally in the energy or utilities sector, and a strong understanding of telephony or network system integration.
You’ll also demonstrate:
- Exposure to testing phone systems, network or device upgrades (non-mobile)
- Proven ability to work self-sufficiently across the full test lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Strong defect management, documentation, and quality assurance practices
- Experience working in regulated industries with a disciplined approach to testing
