The Opportunity
Our client in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst
with strong metering
testing experience to support a major transformation program.
This is an initial 6-month contract with strong scope to extend. Late January or early February start. Unfortunately this opportunity does not offer sponsorship and requires 3 days per week in the Melbourne CBD office.

The Role
As a Senior Test Analyst, you will be responsible for hands-on testing of integrated systems across a complex energy and metering environment.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Executing functional and integration test cases across metering and market systems
- End-to-end testing across platforms including Itron, IEE, UIQ, MTS, and SAP-ISU
- Testing metering workflows such as reads, connections, abolishments, and service orders
- Supporting defect triage, reporting, and coordination across vendors and internal teams
- Driving structured test processes in a primarily waterfall environment
- Ensuring traceability from business requirements through to test execution
About You
In order to be a successful applicant, you will bring proven testing experience within regulated energy or utilities environments, with a focus on metering integration.
You will also have:
- Strong knowledge of metering platforms such as Itron and processes like NMI validation
- Hands-on experience with IEE, UIQ, MTS, and ideally SAP-ISU
- Demonstrated capability in multi-system integration and testing across retail and metering layers
- Strong stakeholder communication and vendor coordination skills
- Confidence to challenge, influence and drive quality outcomes
- Familiarity with structured test lifecycle approaches (Waterfall and Hybrid models)
