Our client is a leading organisation within the financial services industry, currently delivering a range of technology and transformation initiatives across its advice and customer environment. They are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions across complex, integrated applications.
About the Role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will take a hands-on role across both manual and automated testing, working across web-based user interfaces, APIs and integrated applications.
You will coordinate and execute System Testing (ST), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression and end-to-end testing, ensuring system changes meet agreed business requirements prior to production.
The role will involve developing and maintaining automated test suites, testing REST APIs and complex integration points, managing defects and quality risks, and embedding testing within CI/CD delivery processes.
You will work closely with developers, business analysts, solution architects, product owners and SMEs to understand requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage across complex customer and business workflows.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years' experience across software quality assurance or quality engineering
- Strong hands-on experience across both manual and automated testing
- Experience with ST, SIT, UAT, functional, regression and end-to-end testing
- Strong experience testing web-based applications and REST APIs
- Automation experience using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar
- API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured or equivalent
- Experience integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Jira and test management/traceability tools such as Xray
- Strong defect management, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience working across complex applications, APIs and system integrations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Australian financial services experience is highly regarded, particularly across wealth management, financial advice, superannuation or investment platforms
- Experience with adviser and customer workflows within a wealth or financial services environment would be advantageous
