Davidson is partnering with a leading organisation within the wealth management sector to recruit an experienced Senior Tax Analyst. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing Fund Operations team within a large and established financial services environment.
About the Role
As Senior Tax Analyst, you will support the tax team in delivering accurate and timely tax reporting across investment trusts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting interim and year-end distribution planning and calculations
- Preparing and reviewing trust distribution calculations
- Completing trust loss testing, reconciliations and tax reporting
- Collating AMMA statements and liaising with fund managers
- Reviewing tax data for annual tax statements and AMMAs
- Preparing year-end trust tax returns
- Maintaining Excel models used for trust distribution calculations
- Supporting ad hoc distributions associated with asset transitions and projects
- Working closely with Tax, Product, Client Reporting and Project stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve tax processes, efficiency and risk controls
About You
You will bring proven experience across tax, accounting, fund accounting or funds management, with exposure to wealth management environments.
You will also have:
- Strong knowledge of capital gains tax principles and EUUT income
- An understanding of investment trust and superannuation fund taxation
- Exposure to trust operations, unit pricing or fund accounting
- Strong Excel capability, with an interest in VBA, macros and financial models
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret and communicate technical tax information
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
