About the Role
Due to the award of a major Defence contract, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with Defence engineering recruitment experience to join the team on a 12-month contract.

This role can be based anywhere in Australia (3 days per week in office) and will see you partnering closely with senior leaders to deliver end-to-end recruitment across defence engineering and project delivery disciplines.

You will manage recruitment from workforce planning and strategic sourcing through to offer management and onboarding, ensuring a high-quality candidate and stakeholder experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic recruitment across Defence engineering portfolios
  • Manage full end-to-end recruitment across technical and project-based roles
  • Proactively source and engage Defence-cleared engineering talent
  • Build talent pipelines to support major contract delivery
  • Provide market insights and workforce planning advice
  • Utilise Workday (onboarding) and SmartRecruiters (ATS/database)





About You

  • Proven Talent Acquisition experience within Defence engineering environments (essential)
  • Strong understanding of Defence recruitment frameworks and security clearance requirements
  • Experience recruiting across engineering, project delivery and technical disciplines
  • Confident stakeholder partner with strong commercial acumen
  • Highly capable in sourcing, market mapping and proactive engagement
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, contract-driven environment
