The Opportunity
This is a strong permanent opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join a complex government ICT environment supporting critical justice systems. You will play a key role in delivering third-level infrastructure support, driving operational stability, and improving enterprise systems across a modern and evolving technology landscape. This role will suit someone who is confident working across technical support, infrastructure change, and stakeholder engagement in a large-scale ITIL-based environment.
The Role
In this role, you will provide senior-level technical support and contribute to the ongoing reliability, performance, and improvement of enterprise infrastructure services.
- Provide third-level support for enterprise IT infrastructure and resolve complex incidents
- Manage service requests, incidents, and ensure adherence to SLAs and service standards
- Lead infrastructure change, upgrades, and maintenance activities in line with ITIL practices
- Analyse system performance and provide recommendations for improvement and optimisation
- Develop, maintain, and improve operational procedures, documentation, and standards
- Contribute to enterprise ICT initiatives and support continuous service improvement activities
About You
To be successful, you will be an experienced infrastructure or systems professional who is confident operating in complex enterprise environments and supporting critical systems.
- Proven experience in senior systems administration or third-level infrastructure support
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and experience using ServiceNow
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP)
- Exposure to enterprise tools such as Azure, SCCM, SCOM, Intune, Entra ID
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and systems environments
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement capability
