The Opportunity
Join a high-impact transformation project where your solution design expertise will help establish a new enterprise integration platform. Our client, a well-regarded organisation in the financial services sector, is embarking on a multi-year integration uplift to streamline application connectivity and enable data exchange across systems. Working closely with architects and cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in shaping and embedding reusable design patterns that will influence the integration landscape for years to come. Melbourne or Sydney-based candidates, with hybrid work options available. Must be able to attended the office located in CBD for a minimum of 2 days per week.
The Role
As a Senior Solution Designer you will be responsible for designing solution patterns and supporting the delivery of an Integration Platform-as-a-Service hosted in AWS.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Developing blueprint integration patterns (API, MFT, ETL, messaging, event streaming) for current and future business needs
- Contributing to solution integration into existing technology ecosystems, including role-based access control, service management (ServiceNow), alerting, and monitoring
- Collaborating with Architects and Technical SMEs to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and are designed with operational readiness in mind
- Producing comprehensive designs based on functional and non-functional requirements
- Supporting governance processes, ensuring adherence to the SDLC and design standards
- Presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
About You
In order to be a successful applicant you will bring extensive integration expertise and the ability to guide design thinking across complex enterprise environments.
You will also have:
- 10+ years in the IT industry, with 5+ years in Solution Design roles
- Strong integration experience with platforms such as Workato, Tipco, or other iPaaS solutions
- Systems integration knowledge including APIs, SOAP, messaging, file transfer, and cloud-based data movement
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and cloud-native solution design
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Experience working in large-scale financial or enterprise environments (wealth/finance sector experience desirable)
