About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a large Federal Government Agency to secure multiple Senior Software Developers who have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and providing technical leadership to a team of software engineers, on initial 12-month contract with the option of 2 x 12-month extensions.

About the Role

As a TSPV security-cleared Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing software capabilities to ensure application availability, quality, and security through rigorous testing and review. You will work closely with business areas and stakeholders to refine and deliver user requirements, while enhancing automation capabilities and designing new structures and tools that align with business needs and the target environment. In addition to hands-on development, you’ll provide guidance and mentorship to uplift the capability of team members, actively participating in design reviews, stakeholder engagement, and task prioritisation within an integrated team. Your role also encompasses a wide range of software development tasks at the APS level, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient solutions that meet organisational objectives.

These roles are suitable to Senior Software Engineers with TSPV security clearance only.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a TSPV security-cleared Senior Software Engineer with a degree in Computer Science, bringing strong expertise in Java and Python development, supported by experience in automation and deployment tools. Operating at PROG level 5, you’ll take full technical responsibility across the software development lifecycle, planning and driving construction activities, applying secure coding practices, and shaping organisational policies and standards. At SYSP level 5, you’ll ensure system software is provisioned, configured, and maintained to meet service objectives, developing diagnostic tools, troubleshooting processes, and planning the adoption and testing of new software versions. With SINT level 5 capability, you will lead systems integration and build activities, implementing automation and continuous integration frameworks, evaluating tools and processes, and providing authoritative guidance to reduce risk and ensure robust integration. Your combined technical depth and leadership enable you to deliver secure, high-performing, and scalable solutions in complex, mission-critical environments.

The Benefits

You will be offered a 12-month contract with the option of 2 x 12-month extensions on an excellent daily rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
