Due to a significant uplift in technical workload across the secondary systems division, the team is looking to bring on experienced engineers.
About the Role
As a Senior Protection & Control Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Powercor’s ongoing network operations. This is a hands-on, technically focused contract role, sitting within a high-performing secondary systems team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Protection settings and coordination studies
- Fault level analysis
- Review and refinement of protection scheme designs
About You
You will be a senior-level engineer with deep experience in secondary systems and protection engineering within a regulated or utility environment.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Solid experience in protection settings, relay configuration, and fault analysis
- Prior experience within a DNSP (Powercor, AusNet, Jemena, etc.) or relevant contractor/consultancy
- Familiarity with software tools such as DIgSILENT or PSSE (preferred)
- Able to direct a team of Secondary Designers/Drafters to deliver efficient, technically sound, and constructable designs.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
