Melbourne or Sydney CBD opportunity. Must be able to attend the office 2-3 days per week. Unfortunately sponsorship is not offered for this role.



The Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and governing cloud-native infrastructure solutions.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Engineering secure, scalable platform services using AWS-native tooling such as CDK, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and Control Tower.
  • Driving DevSecOps automation across CI/CD pipelines, embedding compliance and resilience at every stage.
  • Implementing automated governance controls and configuration baselines for in-house and third-party platforms.
  • Leading integration of AI workflow testing frameworks, ensuring safe deployment of intelligent systems.
  • Defining infrastructure as code using Terraform/CDK and managing deployments through GitOps workflows.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Security, Risk, and Compliance to align infrastructure with regulatory standards.



About You

In order to be a successful applicant, you will have over 10 years’ experience in platform engineering, DevOps or SRE, with deep expertise in cloud-native environments.

You will also have:

  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS services including CDK, Lambda, EKS, IAM, and Control Tower.
  • Strong background in IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation, along with CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
  • Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes), scripting (Python, Bash, or Go), and Linux system engineering.
  • A solid understanding of monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Splunk.
  • Demonstrated ability to build platform controls aligned to financial services compliance standards (e.g., APRA CPS 234).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
