About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-driven Senior Payroll Officer who’s up for a challenge and ready to help steer the ship through a payroll transformation. The current system is manual, yes—but temporary. Your expertise will be critical in keeping things accurate and compliant while the company rolls out major upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and support end-to-end payroll for approx. 1,800 employees
- Handle employee lifecycle changes: onboarding, transfers, terminations
- Heavy data entry from tripsheets (yes, you’ll get familiar with them)
- Reconcile timesheets from Kronos and resolve any EA/Award discrepancies with managers
- Prepare and lodge Superannuation, PAYG, Workcover, and Payroll Tax reports
- Action out-of-cycle payments, adjustments, leave cash outs, and bonuses
- Final payroll transaction checks – you're the last line of defence
About You
- Solid experience in high-volume payroll
- Comfortable navigating complex Award/EA interpretation
- High attention to detail and not afraid of a bit of data wrangling
- Calm under pressure and a clear communicator with stakeholders
