About the Company
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a respected, mission-driven organisation making a real impact in communities across SEQ.
This role has been created due to an internal promotion, and you'll step into a well-run, high-volume payroll environment supporting over 1,000 employees on a single fortnightly pay run. You’ll supervise one capable Payroll Officer who manages the day-to-day processing, while you focus on quality, compliance, reporting, and keeping the payroll wheels running smoothly.
The Benefits
- $85,000–$95,000 + super + a generous salary packaging benefit
- Take-home pay equivalent to $105,000 + super in a commercial role, if using salary packaging
- Start between 7:30am and 9:00am – you choose!
- 1 WFH day per week after probation
- Walk to train or take advantage of free street parking, with private parking options nearby
About the Role
- Manage end-to-end payroll including super, tax, salary packaging, and EOFY compliance
- Maintain payroll systems associated portals
- Act as the go-to for HR/payroll integration issues, queries, and escalations
- Reconcile journals, payroll tax, and leave balances
- Provide reporting to internal stakeholders
About You
- You’ve handled medium to large payrolls
- You know your way around salary packaging, FBT, and EOFY obligations
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and cool under pressure
- A natural team player with clear communication and problem-solving skills
