About the Company

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and customer-focused payroll services while acting as the key liaison between the organisation and its external payroll provider.

Working closely with People & Culture, Finance and external partners, you'll ensure payroll processes are delivered efficiently, employee data remains accurate, and payroll obligations are met to the highest standard. You'll also contribute to process improvements and support system enhancements to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver accurate, timely and compliant end-to-end payroll services.
  • Manage the relationship with the external payroll provider to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards, taxation, superannuation and payroll legislation.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual payroll activities, including reporting, WorkCover, taxation and superannuation requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex payroll queries while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support employees and leaders with payroll advice, Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service functionality.
  • Participate in payroll system testing, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify payroll risks and recommend practical solutions to improve processes and service delivery.

About You

You'll be an experienced payroll professional who combines technical expertise with outstanding stakeholder management skills.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex BAU payroll operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Awards, payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation.
  • Experience investigating payroll discrepancies and resolving complex payroll issues.
  • Advanced capability across payroll systems, HRIS/HCM platforms and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers or shared services environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • The ability to build strong relationships across HR, Finance and the wider business.
