Davidson is partnering with a highly regarded organisation operating within the wealth and superannuation space to appoint a Senior Manager.

This is an opportunity to join a complex financial services environment with a strong focus on risk, compliance, governance and regulatory excellence. The organisation is continuing to uplift its enterprise-wide compliance frameworks and is seeking a senior specialist who can help embed strong obligations management and regulatory change practices across the business.

About the Role
The Senior manager will support the review, implementation and embedding of enterprise-wide compliance management frameworks.

The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise across obligations management, regulatory change and compliance risk, working closely with senior leaders, business stakeholders, Boards and Committees to ensure regulatory requirements are understood, owned and effectively managed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the enterprise-wide obligations management framework across regulatory, licence and legislative requirements
  • Maintaining a centralised obligations register across jurisdictions and business units
  • Supporting the maintenance, review and annual attestation of Compliance Plans
  • Driving clear ownership and accountability for obligations across relevant business areas
  • Implementing monitoring and assurance mechanisms to identify gaps, emerging risks and compliance issues
  • Providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership, Boards and Committees
  • Supporting regulatory change management, including horizon scanning, impact assessments and implementation planning
  • Monitoring the compliance health of regulatory change programmes and escalating risks where required
  • Ensuring appropriate governance and sponsorship is in place for regulatory change initiatives
  • Providing thought leadership on emerging regulatory themes across the wealth and superannuation landscape

About You
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in risk and compliance within complex financial services environments, with exposure to superannuation, investments, advice or broader wealth management.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in risk and compliance management within complex financial services environments
  • Strong knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks
  • Detailed understanding of Australian superannuation laws, prudential standards and regulatory expectations
  • Experience supporting obligations management, regulatory change, compliance plans or assurance activities
  • The ability to drive change through engagement with business stakeholders, systems, processes and people
  • Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory and business problems quickly
  • Experience working in complex, multi-sector organisations undergoing transformation or remediation
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
  • Postgraduate studies in Investments, Advice or Superannuation would be highly regarded
