This role suits a confident delivery leader who can manage end‑to‑end application delivery, translate complex technical outcomes into clear business insights, and engage senior stakeholders with confidence.
The Role:
- Lead end‑to‑end SDLC delivery of enterprise application initiatives from initiation to production and hypercare
- Manage large-scale programs ($5m+), including functional enhancements and application currency / version upgrades
- Drive delivery across Agile, waterfall, and hybrid environments
- Own project governance including scope, schedule, budget, risk, issue, dependency, and change management
- Translate technical solutions, risks, and delivery impacts into clear, business‑focused messaging for senior stakeholders
- Prepare and present executive‑level reporting, dashboards, steering committee packs, and status updates
- Collaborate with practice management, test management, architecture, and delivery leads
- Coordinate delivery across internal teams, vendors, and systems integrators
- Ensure delivery outcomes meet regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- A senior IT Application Project Manager with utilities sector experience
- Proven experience managing full application SDLC delivery autonomously
- Strong background in Utilities / Energy, including:
- Electricity and/or Gas
- Retail and/or Distribution
- Functional application changes
- Application and platform currency upgrades
- Experience delivering projects over $5m with strong financial and vendor management
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into functional, outcomes‑focused documentation
- Strong documentation skills including:
- Status reports and executive summaries
- RAID logs and delivery dashboards
- Business and functional impact assessments
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capability
