Join an industry-leading financial institution as a
Senior iOS Engineer, working within the mobile payments space to deliver innovative and seamless digital banking experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact program of work, re-engineering the payments flow for mobile internet banking.
This is a Melbourne based opportunity. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of engineers and stakeholders in a dynamic, Agile environment, with flexibility to work from home 2–3 days per week. This initial 6-month contract
offers strong potential for extension and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to a key digital transformation initiative.

The Role
As a
Senior iOS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing native iOS applications that enhance the customer payment experience within mobile banking.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across development, testing, security, and architecture to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
- Applying modern architecture patterns such as MVVM to implement efficient, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
- Managing the full software delivery lifecycle — from analysis and design through to deployment and maintenance.
- Driving continuous improvement in build automation, testing, and release management practices.
- Providing technical leadership, mentorship, and contributing to engineering best practices within the team.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and ensuring performance, stability, and security across mobile platforms.
About You
In order to be a successful applicant, you will bring deep technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to a fast-paced Agile environment.
You will also have:
- Extensive years of hands-on experience in native iOS development(Swift and Objective-C).
- Proven experience across the full software delivery lifecycle, including continuous integration and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integration.
- Familiarity with modern build tools and automation (Gradle, Jenkins, Fastlane, etc.).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to quality delivery.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.
