About the Role
As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and broader finance function across all financial management and accounting activities. You will oversee revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting, while maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
This role is well‑suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys a mix of BAU and project work, and can operate confidently across end‑to‑end accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting activities.
- Maintain financial system integrity, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Perform month‑end close, journals, reconciliations and year‑end deliverables.
- Complete BAS, AP and AR reviews as required.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with reconciliation work across core operations and events.
- Support the Finance Manager with project‑based tasks and process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment and uphold high professional standards.
About You
We are seeking a technically strong and confident accounting professional who can work independently and contribute proactively to a small team. You will bring:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant or similar.
- Degree qualifications in Accounting, with CPA or CA (completed or in progress) preferred.
- Experience with an ERP system in a complex environment.
- Strong analytical ability, excellent attention to detail and sound knowledge of accounting standards.
