An established, Brisbane service-based organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join its internal finance team. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations and takes pride in accuracy, structure and meeting deadlines.

About the role
Reporting into a senior finance leader, you will be responsible for the smooth running of daily finance and bookkeeping operations. This role is critical in ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time to support reliable reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily bank, credit card and clearing account reconciliations
- Processing and batching invoices within agreed timeframes
- Applying customer payments and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Managing subcontractor and cash‑handling processes
- Petty cash reconciliation and ad‑hoc customer invoicing
- Supporting broader office and finance administration activities as required
- Process and potential lodgement of BAS (if BAS certified)
About you
You are detail‑driven, organised and confident working independently in a high‑volume environment.
You will ideally bring:
- 2+ years’ experience in finance operations, accounts or bookkeeping
- Strong reconciliation and transaction processing skills
- Experience with cloud‑based accounting systems
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
- Professional communication skills and integrity when handling financial data
