About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and supporting scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Working closely with Solution Designers, Data Architects and business stakeholders, you'll develop robust batch and real-time data pipelines, deliver high-quality data models and ensure reliable data is available for reporting and analytics.
You'll also contribute to engineering best practices through code reviews, mentoring team members, improving data engineering standards, and driving continuous improvements across data platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies in a collaborative, Agile environment on large-scale enterprise data projects.
About You
You'll be an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong background delivering enterprise-scale data solutions and a passion for building reliable, high-performing data platforms.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Extensive experience in data engineering, ETL development and data integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data engineering practices.
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language.
- Solid experience with data modelling, data warehousing and scalable data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience within the superannuation or wealth management sector will be highly regarded.
