The Opportunity
A leading financial services organisation is undertaking a major global transformation of its investment operating model, focused on modernising foundational data platforms and performance systems. This 12-month contract offers the chance to join the Melbourne-based Data team and play a key role in implementing and governing critical investment performance systems, starting with the Accounting Book of Records (ABOR).
The Role
You’ll contribute to the rollout and optimisation of investment performance systems and data governance frameworks, collaborating across local and global teams.
- Support implementation of performance systems and data governance setup
- Conduct current state analysis and contribute to future state roadmapping
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and external vendors
- Manage data transformation and reporting across investment portfolios
- Support performance and attribution reporting processes
- Assist with establishing governance across data lineage, metadata, and stewardship
About You
You’re a skilled investment data professional with strong technical ability and financial services experience.
- Proven background in superannuation, asset management, or APRA-regulated markets
- Experience with investment platforms (e.g. CRD, FactSet, Bloomberg, State Street Alpha)
- Strong skills in SQL and Python (essential)
- Exposure to Databricks, AWS, or Azure (advantageous)
- Expertise in data transformation and performance reporting
- Comfortable engaging with global teams and external vendors
