The Opportunity
This role sits in a multi-tenant private cloud service-provider environment supporting multiple government customers, where the “cloud” is VMware/Broadcom-first, not Azure-first. You will operate and improve a large-scale private cloud fabric, while also working directly with customers on onboarding, solution design discussions, workshops, and proposals, balancing reliability, security, and cost competitiveness.
About the Role
You will provide specialist technical support and advice across a complex customer base, owning day-to-day platform operations and contributing to customer-facing solutioning activities.

Operate enterprise VMware/Broadcom platforms, with a focus on private cloud at scale.

Administer cloud fabric services: provisioning, migrations, capacity management, and security.

Support tenant onboarding and ongoing service delivery within agreed client service levels.

Troubleshoot complex issues across virtualisation, cloud networking, and automation tooling.

Contribute to improvements and risk management in tools, procedures, and operational practices.

Assist with proposals, tenders, demos, and customer workshops to shape private cloud solutions.
About You
You are an operator first: deep in VMware/Broadcom private cloud, comfortable with multi-client/tenancy constraints, and able to communicate with influence in a customer-facing service-provider setting.

Strong hands-on expertise with VCF/SDDC, vSphere, vCloud Director, NSX-T, and Aria Suite.

Proven private cloud operations: lifecycle, upgrades, provisioning, migrations, and capacity planning.

Service-provider mindset: multi-tenant standards, customer onboarding, and SLA-driven delivery.

Automation, orchestration, scripting, plus a working understanding of DevOps methodologies.

Confident stakeholder engagement, including workshops, demos, and structured problem ownership.

Highly regarded: HPE and OneView; desirable: broader core infrastructure (e.g., SAN management).
