Senior Change Analyst / Change Manager | Works & Asset Management Transformation

Davidson has partnered with Barwon Water to appoint a Senior Change Analyst / Change Manager to support the next phase of one of regional Victoria’s most significant transformation programs.

Barwon Water delivers water, sewerage and recycled water services to more than 330,000 people across the Geelong region and surrounding communities. Through its Works & Asset Management (WAM) transformation, the organisation is investing in new systems, processes and ways of working that will strengthen how it manages its assets and operations into the future.

About the Role

This is a hands-on change delivery role supporting the WAM transformation, helping impacted teams understand, prepare for and successfully adopt new systems, processes and ways of working.

This role requires someone who can quickly understand an existing program, build strong relationships and proactively identify what needs to happen. You'll be comfortable asking difficult questions, investigating issues, challenging assumptions and ensuring change risks aren't allowed to quietly become business problems.

The position is based in Geelong, with an expectation of three days per week onsite and is an initial contract through to the end of June 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver practical change and business readiness activities.
  • Complete stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments and readiness assessments.
  • Identify adoption risks, resistance and process impacts and develop practical responses.
  • Build strong relationships across corporate, technology, engineering and operational teams.
  • Support training, communications, stakeholder engagement and leader activation activities.
  • Coordinate go-live readiness and support post-implementation adoption.

About You

You're a hands-on change professional who enjoys being close to the business and making change happen. You'll be comfortable working independently, asking difficult questions and engaging stakeholders ranging from frontline operational teams through to senior leaders.

Must-Haves

  • Strong hands-on change management experience within complex transformation programs.
  • Experience across change impacts, stakeholder engagement, readiness and adoption.
  • Experience delivering technology-enabled change involving new systems and processes.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within utilities, water, infrastructure, asset management or another operational environment.
  • Exposure to ERP, Works & Asset Management or Enterprise Asset Management transformations.

Benefits & Why Barwon Water

This is an opportunity to join a significant transformation program at an important stage of delivery, with the ability to make a tangible impact on how new systems and processes are understood and adopted across Barwon Water.

You'll work across a genuinely diverse stakeholder environment spanning corporate, technology, engineering and frontline operational teams, giving you exposure to the different ways enterprise change impacts people across an organisation.

For someone who enjoys being hands-on, building relationships and turning change plans into practical outcomes, this role offers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of change delivery through the next phase of the WAM transformation.
