About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst to support the successful delivery of ongoing project initiatives within a complex technology environment. This role requires a professional with a strong track record of leading and contributing to large-scale transformation projects, ideally within regulated or public sector settings.

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with business and technology stakeholders, including architecture, governance, change management, and vendor teams, to ensure alignment with organizational digital and data strategies. You will play a key role in creating delivery clarity, identifying and managing risks, uncovering interdependencies, and supporting future-state planning for evolving information management capabilities.

This position demands a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on improving operational visibility, performance, and efficiency across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map and analyse end-to-end workflows, particularly across payment or transaction-based teams
  • Categorize work types (e.g., transactional, complex, exception-based) and assess demand patterns across channels and user groups
  • Evaluate performance metrics, including turnaround times, SLAs, queue sizes, ageing work, rework, and failure demand
  • Identify effort drivers such as touchpoints, handoffs, and process inefficiencies
  • Assess team capacity, including productive hours, skill distribution, and constraints
  • Identify system bottlenecks, variability, and opportunities for optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Support governance standards, reporting, and decision-making processes

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in a project environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and processes
  • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in government, insurance, healthcare, or disability sectors
  • Understanding of data governance, data retention policies, and information lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with project delivery frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, or PMP
