Davidson has proudly partnered with a leading utilities company to assist them in sourcing a senior business analyst to join the Corporate Strategy & Analytics team, and drive digital transformation initiatives, aligning technology capabilities with business strategies to deliver innovative solutions and measurable outcomes.
About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead discovery work for critical projects, including the upgrade of an HR crisis management tool and the selection of an enterprise finance tool. You will collaborate with executives, General Managers, and cross-functional teams to shape strategies, define requirements, and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to define and maintain a digital strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Lead stakeholder workshops and interviews to identify pain points, opportunities, and requirements for digital enablement.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical documentation, supporting seamless system implementation.
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and impact assessments to guide investment decisions.
- Produce current and future state process maps and project roadmaps to drive transformation efforts.
About You
- Significant experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in digital transformation, strategy, or system implementation, within the utilities industry.
- Proven ability to engage with senior executives and translate business needs into actionable strategies.
- Strong end-to-end project delivery experience, including discovery, requirements elicitation, and implementation.
- Proficiency in business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK, PMBOK) and agile frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with experience addressing C-level audiences.
- Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP) and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of finance, corporate, or analytics functions is advantageous
